Founded in 1922, West Byfleet Golf Club is a traditional Members' Club with a strong friendly family tradition, an outstanding golf course and a relaxed social environment in which to play the game. The Club prides itself on welcoming visiting golfers all year round to enjoy the challenge of Abercromby's wonderful design.
Measuring 6,531 yards off the men's purple competition tees with a par of 70 and eight par four holes of over 400 yards each, it is regarded as a good test of golf; indeed par is rarely broken. The red tee course measures 5,647 yards with a ladies' par of 72. The Club's signature hole is the 13th Pond hole, a short but tricky par 3.
The comparatively few alterations that have been made to the design since 1922 have been carried out by other notable course architects such as Croome, Braid and Morrison - a partner of Harry Colt. Today, the legacy of such illustrious names remains intact, along with the fruits of a five‑year course improvement programme, designed and overseen by leading golf course architects Mackenzie & Ebert, completed in spring 2022.
West Byfleet welcomes visitors and societies during the week and prides itself on ensuring that all visitors have a very enjoyable experience. Whatever the occasion our professional staff are on hand to provide quality service and assistance.
